Miley Cyrus 'Song The Climb'
In the song “The Climb,” by Miley Cyrus, the lyrics mean to "just keep trying.”(Miley Cyrus) Miley sings about a mountain and climbing over obstacles, symbolizing the struggles of life. Although the lyrics are talking about the journey rather than focusing on the destination, it is about ultimately reaching a final goal, it also symbolizes a reward that awaits at the end of the climb. Miley sings that, “Ain’t about how fast I get there. Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb.” Meaning that it’s not about the quickest way out or the goals you achieve but about how you choose to achieve those goals. Although , “There’s always gonna be another mountain. I’m always gonna wanna make it move. There’s always gonna be an uphill battle. Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose.” (Miley Cyrus) Meaning there is always going to be something or someone in your way to stop you and sometime you will win and sometime you will lose. I always seem to rush to achieve goals and never sit back and enjoy life and the people I surround myself with. I want to grow up and be settled and miss all of the failed attempts at life but those failed attempts is what makes my life and the person I will become. I want to become very successful in life; who doesn't? However I want it all now. I don’t want to wait to live the life I dream of living after college. I don’t want to struggle, but according to Miley in her song we all have dreams we want to achieve all while struggling, yet not letting anything in our paths to destroy them and to keep moving forward. Like she said it “Ain’t about how fast I get there. Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side. It’s the climb.” Even though I am struggling with keeping up with school while working 40+ hours a week to pay bills, I know I just have to keep trying while winning some and losing
