My purpose in helping military families is to provide common families services alongside situation specific ones. These circumstances would include spouse deployment, post-traumatic stress cases, combat ready evaluations, and providing tools to aid in coping. Traditionally, some of these aspects affect numerous different populations however, the military deals with a larger amount of cases. Additionally, military families face numerous common issues such as financial stressors, addictions, and communication barriers within the family. My goal in working with these families is to, as a marriage and family therapist, aid in providing all of these salient services. Moreover, my main tool is to give the military community access to the tools and services they need. I aim to continually aid in providing both family support and family preservation focused care to the military population.
