Minimum Wage Argument

When it comes to the age old adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” I am against it. While the saying is simple enough meaning, “when one recognizes that something is in a satisfactory state, and there is no reason to try to change it,” according to the Cambridge English Dictionary (n.d.). While this adage is simple enough, sometimes things do need changed or will in the future. By implying that it is simply okay to leave something the way it is at this moment, because it is found to be satisfactory does not mean that it does not need fixed. A basic example would be the axe, which started out as a stone that was formed and made sharp and then simply attached to a stick. While this was done hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago it worked.
