We are in NFL season! Wouldnt it be great to watch the game with a plate of chicken wings? I say Yes! Therefore, visit Buffalo Wild Wings. They have a wide range of flavors which I love. You can find the chain restaurant almost anywhere. I usually eat at Buffalo Wide Wings at Forrest Hils just because it is closer to me. I recommend to be extremely patient. They usually don't have enough waiters for a number of people that go to eat there.I usually wait 10 to 30 minutes just to get a table, then 30 to 60 minutes for the waiter to arrive with the food. Although it takes forever I still see myself gravitating to the restaurant when I'm craving wings. The menu has different prices for the wings, it all depends on a number of wings.Usually, prices…

Team number three, consisting of Trenton Peters, Brett Halleen, Thomas Monroe, and Grant Dahlgren are building an edible car named “Meals on Wheels.” The problem statement that we are trying to solve is “Build a car that meets all criteria for the edible car challenge, and preforms to the best performance we can make it.” To start off, our vehicle was composed of cheese wheels, pretzel axles and a graham cracker body, with an apple slice in the front to add the element of there being a cockpit in the front of the vehicle, and marshmallow was used to hold all of the pieces together. However, the vehicles performance was less than expected, and didn’t do well on the scale Appendix A.2 of the text book, receiving an estimated 28pts out of 50pts.…
The North Platte Canteen affected the mentality of six million troops in World War II and gave the soldiers a reason to fight for America (The North Platte Canteen). The canteen started officially on Christmas Day in 1941 and did not stop serving American troops till the very last cargo train rolled into the North Platte Depot on April 1, 1946. Sixteen million troops fought in World War II; there was a one and three chance the soldier standing next to you paid a visit to the little town of North Platte (The North Platte Canteen, Nebraska Studies.Org, Statistic Brain). One young lady, Rae Wilson, wrote a letter to the editor in the local newspaper about the soldiers at the train station. This tiny article caused this amazing organization to take place (Letter to the Editor). She then banded together the most influential people in North Platte on December 22, 1941 and started the canteen three days later (Nebraska Studies.Org). Mrs. Wilson and the town of North Platte were completely unaware of what this small idea would lead to. Fifty thousand volunteers from across Nebraska and Denver made long trips to North Platte, not only donating their own family's dinner, but also missing a day of work (Lecture). One of these thousands of workers was seventeen year…

This Friday evening I am hosting a dinner party at my house. There will not be a long list of people attending this dinner party, only three people that I am interested in learning more about, and getting to know personally. The three people that will be attending this dinner party are Elie Wiesel, Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr. Since these are all very different and historical people, there are several reasons as to why I am having them attend my dinner party.…
I) Introduction: Fast Food Nation is a book in which Eric Schlosser did not hold any detail back. His ideas are very much similar to Hank Cardello who expressed his feelings in his best seller Stuffed and a article labeled Bacon as a Weapon of Mass Destruction. All of these topics touch upon the problem of obesity, low wages, and unethical issues.…
For my social norm violation I decided to order Burger King’s and Wendy’s food at McDonald’s. I chose to break this social norm because, here in America, the majority of people know what type of food each fast food chain offers. For example, everyone knows that a Big Mac is from McDonald’s and a Whopper is from Burger King. I wanted to see the reaction I would get from the McDonald’s employees if I tried to order a Whopper and a baconator. So, I went to the McDonald’s on Weber at a time when it wasn’t busy (so I wouldn’t hold up the line if I took a long time). I pulled up to the McDonald’s drive-thru menu and the man asked me what I wanted. I told him that I would take 2 Whoppers with no cheese and a small fry. At first, he said ok but then realized what I had just said. He…

There will be various of consequences if you eat me for your Thanksgiving dinner. I taste bland and I don’t taste like that turkey in your dreams. I beg you to listen to my reasons why you should not eat me.…
Robert Kenner’s documentary, Food Inc., gives insight into operations in the food industry. The documentary depicts the people’s desire for money, with resultant implications characterized by mass production through varying approaches. Indeed, Kenner seeks to sensitize the society on the manner in which animals are exposed to inhumane conditions, severe health conditions that result from mass production in the food industry, and unmoral circumstances under which farmers operate. Whereas various flaws are depicted in the movie, it remains important in relation to societal operations and development. This positional essay provides a critique of Robert…
