Training organization and Training Topic
Hello and welcome to Minuteman trucks, where employees are always exhausted, over worked and unappreciated by their managers. A lot of employees face similar issues where they over work and do not receive any bonuses or feel appreciated after accomplishing their work properly.
My name is Sahar Barazi and I will be joining the mid-level management team shortly and will be working on making some changes within the company and will work on improving some strategies to provide a better working environment for all employees.
Minuteman is the one of the biggest truck engine manufacturing company in North America. Few plants are also located in Mexico and Europe related to Minuteman trucks. The company itself is a very company expanding quickly and always running into new branch openings globally. All their hired employees are hardworking and dedicated to their job description and duties. Motivating employees (Motivation training) and make them feel appreciate as to the results they are achieving after completing each project will be my training topic that I would like to work on throughout this project. It is important and essential to motivate employees in order to give their best while doing their work. It will help them perform better, achieve better results and therefore it will improve the overall plants /company’s performance. …show more content…
Needs analysis
All sort of things that we need to do require prerequisites and experience.
The prerequisite for motivation training needs assessment and analysis.
The textbook defines a needs assessment as “the process used to determine whether training is necessary.” (Noe, 2013, p.114)
Needs assessment is classified into three categories they
are:
Organization analysis
Person analysis
Task analysis
All three categories are important and critical to keep up with and improve within a company. But the category that I will be focusing on in this project would be person analysis. From the book, person analysis serves as “ (1) Determining whether performance deficiencies result from a lack of knowledge, skill, or ability (a training issue) or from a motivational or work-design problem; (2) identifying who needs training; and (3) determining employee readiness for training.” (Noe, 2013, p.114). Positive healthy employees have a big reflection on the company’s performance. Minuteman needs to look after the employee’s needs, concerns and what makes them happy and satisfied.
Training Objectives
The actual working atmosphere always influence and has an affect at the employees, their performance and their attitude dealing customers and colleagues.
Training objections are:
Create positive healthy working environment – positive work atmosphere happens when hard work is being appreciated and noticed. Employees like to feel recognized or their efforts.
Create and build a better relationship among management teams and employees – trust and good relationship within colleagues is very critical. Having that relationship allows employees to interact with each other, share experiences, ideas and solutions.
Provide proper Coaching, training and feedback- feedback whether negative or positive always put employees on the right track. It allows employees to know their production performance, their results what needs to be improved.
Motivation and encourage workers- make them feel motivated and that you care about each employee. Help them achieve their work properly by giving them that push when is needed and provide comfort for them while working.
Create and provide a work-life balance style - offer some relaxing time in a gym or provide exercise programs, yoga or any kind of sport activities to set their minds off of things and maintain their health and peace of mind.
Conclusion and next steps
Each and every organization wants to perform better and invest most of their time on making more profit and expanding the business. Companies need to spend and invest some extra time with employees that show up to work on a daily basis. Discuss the motivation training with the higher level management team and decide on which training to provide.
