INTRODUCTION
James Oranth, the vice – president of Nupath Foods Inc. was very much satisfied with the latest sales figures of the company. He was pleased with the successful marketing campaign of the sagging sales of Prowess cat food as the Sales volume of the product has increased by 20 percent in the past quarter compared with the previous year. The market share was up as well. The improved sales of Prowess were credited to Denise Washington who was the brand manager for cat food at Nupath. She was a very promising employee of Nupath as she has shown her talent in only two of her work in the company. Now, James Ornath wanted to reward her by promoting her to the recently vacated position of Market Research Coordinator. The job would give broader experience in some high profile work, which will enhance her work at Nupath. It must be noted that Ornath’s career boosted by working in the same post at Nupath several years ago. Innocent people had lost brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, cousins, friends, and even sons and daughters. September 11, 2001 was the day that changed America economically, socially, politically, and militarily. Its the day that no one will ever forget.…

The nature versus nurture conflict has continuously been a controversial subject for the public. People want to know what effects our development, personality, and especially our behavior, which seems to overlap the two. The nature side of the argument believes that a human is developed by the genes that are hard-wired into them. In other words, the reason why this human behaves the way he or she does today is because of the genes he or she were born with. On the other hand is nurture, which says a person is formed into the person they are by the environment. This suggests that a person is born with no inborn tendencies and acquire traits off of the setting and the people they are around. In Nineteen Minutes, by Jodi Picoult, Peter Houghton, the main teenage character, suddenly snaps. Prior to Peter’s murders, he showed no aggression or violence whatsoever. Even his childhood best friend, Josie, who eventually became a member of the popular crowd in school, made efforts to back him up. The sudden outburst from Peter clearly demonstrated that his environment shaped him into the killer he became. An adolescent can be bent and twisted into a completely different person. Hostile environments, like Sterling for Peter, could distort any type of personality and shape the person in undesirable ways.…

    Fifteen Minutes

How will I describe my fifteen minutes of fame? Well I like to think outside the box. My day would start off as any other day. I would wake up, eat my plain frosted flakes and be off to school. While I am driving on the road, I would happen to see a homeless man on the side of the street. He is of course sitting on a box holding a sign saying “please spare a dollar, god bless”. Being the nice person I am, I parked my car on the side of the street walked towards him and I do just as that. I gave him the dollar but instead of saying thank you, he said “you are the only one who stopped and gave to me, so for that I’m going to help you out”. In my mind I’m thinking how this homeless man is supposed to help me. As I turned to walk away I hear a box open, when I looked back the man was holding a box full of cash, men with cameras came out from the trees, and he stood there and said “ This is the show giving back for the givers on the network ABC”. This is when my fifteen minutes begins. As I was handed the money, I was escorted on the limo and beside me was none other than Chris brown. My heart drops as he said to me, “would you like to go on tour with me”. I said yes and we arrived at the Richmond coliseum and millions of people were lined up to see me oh and Chris brown. As we walked on stage he handed me the microphone and I sung with him to his single please don’t judge me. I was having the time of my life until I saw the man tapping his watch. I ran off the stage leaving Chris brown to his fans. I asked the man why he tapped his watch. He told me” this show only is fifteen minutes and we have a lot to do before then”. I walked outside and I see cameras flashing, reporters asking me questions and a women and a black suit staring me down. I walked towards her and she said we have only three minutes to get her into a Louis Vuitton dress and hills. I had no idea what was going on until I was rushed into a plane heading to a run way in a…
