I found the film to be amusing with the funny quirts of Michael Moore. It portrays the true sadness behind what really happened in a humorous way. In reality the true story behind the humor of the film is depressing considering this entire town is losing all the opportunities they have ever had.…
The movie was very powerful just to learn about hate crime and how it attracted a lot of attention from media as well as public all over the world due to his tragic death. Matthew was the type of person that was very approachable and always put his family and friends first. Even though the death of Matthew Shepard was undeserved I definitely think that some good has come out of it because it made people realize how much violence and hatred there in the world and what it can turn into. This tragedy helped the nation wake up to the fact that hate and discrimination still lives in our communities, schools and families. Mr. Dennis Shepard gave speech in tribute to his son Matthew brought tears in my eyes. I was able to connect and engage to that moment. That moment touched me so much that I couldn’t stop crying.…
Ruby Moon written by Matt Cameron in 2003 is a presentational non-realistic, contemporary Australian drama with representational elements in reference to its development of characters. The style is also that of a psychodrama as it exposes the gargantuan holes in Ray and Sylvie’s state of mind as the story unfolds their psychological flaws become more and more conspicuous to the audience. It also takes on the style of an absurdist drama as this means that a realistic lifestyle is portrayed in the text although in an unrealistic or exaggerated (presentational) way.…

This movie is very eye opening. I vaguely recall reading about this event in high school. I feel like the film did a great job at humanizing the little girls and their families. Instead of just thinking about the tragedy in a kind of abstract way, it allows you to relate to what happened in a much more visceral way.…

The moon can be found in many literary works, and it is an element full of literary and narrative quality. The moon in the Taketori Monogatari, which is considered the ancestor of Japanese Narratives by the Japanese renowned writer Murasaki Shikibu, is without exception an indispensable part. According to NI, Jin-Dan, in literature, the concept of foreign land, which is a relative space to the world of human beings, has always been emphasized. Through this foreign land, we can penetrate the underlying truth around us deeply. In Taketori Monogatari, the moon in the sky, in contrast to the world of humankind on the ground, presented an image of an ideal world. Taketori incorporated materials and ideas from the Buddhist scriptures or the Chinese classics and thus is strongly influenced by the images and characteristics of the moon in these masterpieces. What kind of roles does the moon play in this literary work? What important view does the author intend to convey to readers through comparing the moon and the world of mankind? These are the main themes I want to explore in this essay.…

The movie teaches me that loving someone is not all about happiness. It is also about the sufferings and challenges that a couple should face together in order to let their love last forever. A person would not be afraid to suffer and feel pain because he/she knows that the joy and affection he/she gets from loving someone is greater than those. Also, once a person learns how to truly love, he/she would be more than willing to fully accept the other one despite of her/his shortcomings as a person and as a partner. He/she would understand and care for her/him until the end. A true love means…
