Mission Statement In The Medical Field
Mission Statement I believe that life should be about helping others. For me that means becoming a doctor so I can help people every day. I want to changes people’s lives for the better at every chance I get. When I have been in the hospital I have always know that the doctors are there to help me and will help me. I want people to feel that way about me one day. Knowing that at some person’s most vulnerable time you were there to help them through it and you did everything in your power to help them is a very powerful feeling.
To make this happen I will have to go to college and medical school after that. It is a long journey but I am determined to make it. The chance to help people is well worth all of the extra years of school. I value

Waking up in the middle of the night coughing and gasping for air occurred on a regular basis for me as a child. I slept with an inhaler and a nebulizer next to my bed in the event of the next attack. My asthma attacks were frightening for my parents and especially for me as I felt as if I was on the verge of death whenever I suddenly could not breathe. Although I was always in and out of emergency rooms and doctor visits at a young age, having tried everything from nebulizer treatments to bronchodilators, I was always comforted by the doctors and nurses who always took the time to explain and alleviate any concerns and anxiety I had. Seeing their devotion to their profession and for patient care has motivated me to pursue graduate study in the field of nursing to invest my future to coordinate and implement quality healthcare for others.…

I am learning about Evidence Based Practice, or EBP for short, which is a fairly new concept for me. I work in a relatively small environment for an extremely large healthcare company. I work in an outpatient hemodialysis clinic where we provide approximately 250 hemodialysis treatments per week to about 100 patients. My company is an international company with nearly 3,000 clinics in the US and abroad serving…

The incorporation of new technologies with humble understanding of how we affect our own health is what I want to bring to healthcare. This will require hours of study to understand the human body and explore ideas, but the path less taken is most rewarding. My passion is to consult people to become healthier, mentally and physically. I am a natural healer and listener. To be a value to individuals, I must gain as much knowledge as possible. I want to be a Medical Administrative Assistant at Vanderbilt hospital to honor my late sister and my parents. When I was 18 years old my sister Debbie died from cancer. The majority of my childhood and teenage years were spent in hospitals and the majority of my parent's money went to paying the doctors. During this period of my life I thought medicine was doing more harm than good. Because I was older at the time of Debbie's death my perception about medicine changed and I became motivated to find out why medicine costs so much and why some procedures cost more than others? So I studied hard, became Valedictorian of my class, earning a full scholarship to Vanderbilt University and now I'm ready to become a member of the Vanderbilt hospital community. It would be a great honor to secure one of the three Medical Administrative Assistants positions.…

The thesis statement of the essay "The Clinic" is the last sentence of the second paragraph when the author writes,"It gave the impression of more than the typical stomachache, and I plied ahead, waiting to finally ask the key question that slipped the knot on this mystery and sent the bacteria or virus or swallowed garden flower culprit plummeting into my lap." This statement demonstrates that the author is only troubled by the patient's medical history instead of the most important information, the patient's psychic history.…
