Mixed Emotions In William Shakespeare's Hamlet

In the era, when civil wars were communistic, when we actually had Kings and Queens, and we held grudges because we didn’t have moral right. In these times a novel was written, a novel by the name of “ Hamlet .” A man named Hamlet was the main character, a man who devoted his life to fulfilling his own wants and needs. Hamlet throughout the novel is known for having mixed emotions and having a trace of craziness. Hamlet’s interconnections with the other major characters are mistaken when you first begin to read the novel, in this world it’s believed that families should have trust within each other and shouldn’t think twice about it. Hamlet's ambiguous behavior and vacillation of clarity, causes him to have mixed emotions towards others throughout the novel. The first signs of an unstable, untrustworthy, lying relationship seen in the novel are between Hamlet and and his uncle Claudius. Every since the father of Hamlet died, Hamlet has been very upset with his mother and Claudius. What makes it worse is the fact that Hamlet’s mom, Gertrude, was seeking out pleasure right away instead of waiting for a true love to come. So now, Hamlet has two betrayals that already disturbed him mentally.

Hamlet is sick of his mom but he still has mixed emotions because he loves her so much. He is steady longing to be involved in her sex life because he wants to find out the truth, but he knows that he will never have another mom and he still has to love. Some might ask “why does he still has to love her ?” Simple, Hamlet is all Gertrude has, and Gertrude is all Hamlet has. If both were to abandoned each other both of their shameless lives would be vacant of trust and love. So again Hamlet has to still show love and affection for his mom but deep down he knows she’s wrong and he wants no part of
