1. Describe the elements of microenvironment and competitive environment that effect wild water now. Then describe elements that you anticipate will affect the water park in the next few years.
The elements of microenvironment for Wild Water (WW) (laws and regulations) are a new state safety law was passed and WW has to make some expensive upgrades to meet the new state standard. (Technology) In the area beach cottages are going to torn down and expensive condominiums are replacing them. Which could affect sales on who rents the condos on whether they will use the water parks or look for other attractions in the area such as golfing, deep-sea fishing and fine dining. (Rivals) A major amusement park is looking to open up in the area and could affect Wild Water, this amusement park will offers high end rides, entertainment and eating establishments. Social issues can have a major effect on the water park in the next few years. With new condos being built and a high end amusement park possible opening can draw different people to the area with a different culture mindset that can affect the water parks attendees, which will impact the overall revenue of the park.
2. Describe the organizations culture. Discuss how the current culture affects the way it responds to the organizations external environment.
The wild water organizational culture is hierarchical and refer to their employees as part of the family. Employees are encouraged to voice their ideas and opinions during meeting to help benefit the park. The current culture at wild water affects the way it responds to the organizations external environment by being a family run business. Wild water is customer oriented with reasonable priced admission and food, quality rides and has been in operation for over forty years. The have celebrity visitors attend the park each summer and provide honest and safe family fun for all ages.
