Teens and adults are also attached to their phones because of the technology in the phone. Technology today allows you to text, tweet, post pictures, instant message and so much more right at the palm of your hands. No matter where you go you can do all these things. Young adults and adults also love what they can do with their phones. For example, on the Samsung Galaxy s4 you can scroll up and down using hand gestures without touching the phone or with your eyes.
Today people believe their mobile device is their lives. Young teens and grown-up’s believe a cellphone is their life because they can stay connected with others via Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and other social networks. Being able to check social networks and emails at your fingertips makes people want to be on their phones more. Having social networks on your phone allows people to be more in other peoples buisness. Are you obsessed with checking your phone? (www.abcnews.com) A study shows that an average person checks their phone between 30-50 times a day for emails, texts, tweets, status updates and more. Checking your phone consumes time because you have to open the screen and lock the screen back. Within the time your checking your phone you could have missed something extremely important. A teen could have missed something important a teacher said and an adult could have missed something important in a meeting at work.
Cell phones are becoming a problem in marriages today also. Couples are so intuned into their phones it’s causing divorces.(www.hubpages.com) 57% of the divorce rate in America is caused by cell phones. Cell phones are causes of divorce because the spouse will talk to the lover at work, driving to work, on their way home in the evening and will more than likely put a lock on their cell phone to hide the affair. Most spouses find out the other is cheating by checking their text messages, unfamiliar numbers and leaving the room to take phone calls. This can even relate to a teenage relationship because teens do the same thing the only difference is they’re not married to their spouse.
The problem with teens todays they don’t understand the health effects of constantly using cell phones. The radiation from the phone can lead to brain cancer.
