Introduction
I’ve heard/listened to report of mobile phones causing brain tumours, on television, the radio, and on reports on the internet. So I have chosen to do this question because I want to know if the theory is true or not. I’m going to search on the internet arguments and studies that suggest that mobile phones can give you tumours or cancer, and then I’m going to be looking at studies that says it doesn’t. After I’ve collected my information I’m going to compare and evaluate them, and then come to my own conclusion.
Evidence for
There are three main reasons why people are concerned that wireless or mobile phones can have the potential to cause cancer or tumours.
[1] One reason is because wireless or mobile phones emit radio frequent energy, and tissues nearest to where the phone is held can absorb this energy.
More people now have mobile or wireless phones, the rate of mobiles bought in the United States in 2010, was 303 million. Globally, the number of cell phone subscriptions is estimated by the International Telecommunications Union to be 5 million.
The amount of phone calls per day has increased rapidly over the past few years; cell phone technology has also undergone substantial changes.
