United Metal Products Workers Union Good evening ladies and gentlemen, my name is Michael De Jesus. I am the President of the United Metal Products Workers Union. On my side is the Vice President of the United Metal Products Workers Union Sarah Pinheiro. We are here today to represent the D. G. Barnhouse Company employees. Our goal today is to renegotiate and certify an agreement between Barnhouse Company and its unionized employees before the deadline of June 30th, 2007. Solidifying an agreement today is critical and will ensure a seamless transition without any sort of financial loss that would be unfavorable to Barnhouse Company and its unionized employees. Essentially, our goals today consist of a few changes in the current but soon to be outdated collective bargaining agreement. So that we are all on the same page, let me go over the goals of the United Metal Products Workers Union. Our mandate consist of the following: 1. To analyze, critique, and modify the wage scale currently enforced in a matter that is beneficial to both Barnhouse Company as well as its unionized employees. 2. Review and evaluate the state and costs of the medical benefits that are provided to the United Metal Products Workers Union. 3. Evaluate and modify the company holidays negotiated in the 2006 collective bargaining agreement based on industry standards. 4. Lastly, our goal is to solidify an agreement that strengthens the relationship between Barnhouse Company and its unionized employees.
Lastly, I would like to say that with the commitment of Barnhouse Company and the commitment of the United Metal Products Workers Union, I believe that an agreement can be completed that benefits both employer and employee. My colleague Sarah Pinheiro will now proceed
