Journal: Mock Interview
The mock interview was a great chance for me because it was the real process of how in the real world interviews are conduct. In this interview I took a time to observe myself how I actually did it for example my body language and how I behaved during the interview. This was the first time for me to sit in front of the professional who asked me question about my strength and weakness at first it was hard for me answer because I was nervous as well but then it kind off give me an idea what I will be expecting in my future interview process. Watching myself, though difficult at times, was very enlightening for many reasons. I learned what my flaws were and I also learned that there are things that I did well that I should be confident about. Some areas that I need to work on is to provide specific answers for example when asked about my strengths, values and where you want to see yourself in the next five years or so. During the interview I was nervous but when the interviewee asked me about my background from that on I kind off picked up and then I was on track but not fully. I was asked question about randomly like what are my career goals and future plans are because there was no job description given so it was fun to me and now I know where I am standing and what are my flaws . This interview actually boost my confidence to the top. But then always prepare yourself for the questions that you know you will be asked for this way there will no issues of losing confident.

It was my first time interviewing like this and I believe that I kept a good amount of control of the interview. Of course like with everything else in life there is room for improvement. I wish that I could’ve asked more questions. I think that I did not ask as many questions as I had wanted to because I lacked a little bit of confidence. I think that my confidence will grow the more times I interview mock clients. Watching other classmates have a difficult time with responses made me feel that I would have the same problem. I believe the questions I did ask where answered completely. I do not think I had as much trouble as others. I would’ve liked to have known more about the client before we…

My experience in interviewing for the first time was not as what I was expecting. Being in an actual interview is completely different than being in a formed imaginative situations I made in my head. Though throughout the process, I learned lessons that came from a form of downfalls. I learned that confidence, concentration, preparation, and commitment play big roles in generating a successful interview. These downfalls are what I hope to improve on for future interviews that I will be involved in.…

People from different parts of the world have been migrating to the United States for hundreds of years. During the 1920s and 1950s, there was a huge wave of Italian immigrants voyaging to our country. More than four million Italians had left their country and traveled by boat for seven dreadful, agonizing days before arriving in America. Travelers took their first steps on U.S. soil in Ellis Island, the federal immigration station, where Italians had to pass medical and legal inspections before being allowed to enter the United States. This dramatic surge in immigration was brought upon by Italians desperately trying to escape their poverty-stricken lives in pursuit of the American Dream. Upon arriving to America, Italians hoped for better lives with more job opportunities and better education.…

This piece of evidence is community interview paper. I was required to find an agency that serves individuals and interview the person in charge regarding the service they provide to individual with disabilities. Questions included in the interview consist of “what type of agency is it”, “what interaction does the agency have with schools, youth, families”, “what services does the agency provide”, “eligibility requirements for the services”, etc. After completing the interview, I created a Smore Flyer to advertise the information acquired. The Smore Flyer is an example of an advertisement that I could offer parents/guardians to learn about transitional agencies available in the area. I completed my interview on Project SEARCH, an internship program for young adults with disabilities. The Smore Flyer and interview were created and adapted to meet the assignment requirements for my Career, Vocational, and Community Education for Youth with Exceptional Needs course (Education 368).…
