This model basically creates a situation where professional medical ethics and business ethics are combined, in this model the patient is now seen has a consumer or customer and the trust and loyalty between patient and physician and health care resources are only available within the limits that is set by the contract (P Paul. 2007, cited in Managed Care Bill of Rights for Consumers Act of 2001). That is to say the ethical part of this model only comes in upon payment. the other problems faced in the limitations of resource allocation in the social service model and the Hippocratic model is not a problem in this model, as long has the payment is made the services are provided (Blumenthal.P.2007). The disadvantage with this model however is to do with the cost involved, this model provides a platform by which only people with money can get Access to recourses and this obviously means that only those who can afford can gain access to resources, this model provides no consideration of other members of society and therefore I believe it is not the best approach in general.
