Module 2: Type A/B Personality Assessments
Throughout this course, I have taken two distinct personality assessments. The first one I took was the Type A/B Personality test, and I also took Eysenck's Test. Based on the results, I have come to the conclusion that the two aforementioned personality tests are fairly consistent with who I am.

The first personality test I took came from Module 2: the Type A/B Personality Test. After answering the twenty questions, my score was 242 which scored high for Type A personality. I was not shocked when I read the results since I know that I can be uptight, worrisome, and orderly. For instance, I record all upcoming future events in my calendar yet I worry that I will forget these future events. My worrisome nature coincides with the

The use of the Myers Briggs test really interested me in this module for the fact that I’ve had to take it before in school. It is a personality sense that is quick, small, and a pretty simple but effective way to get the basic traits of someone’s personality. When I took it I was ENFJ which means the test considers my personality and me to be Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging. The test has a couple of questions and only takes 10 minutes on average to take. In each letter, there are 2 options for example the 1st topic depends on if you are introverted or extraverted. An introvert tends to be quiet, shy, and not liking to be the center of attention a lot, while an extrovert tends to be the team leader, the happy go lucky friend, and enjoys their parties from time to time. Then it assess if you are intuitive or observant, if you are intuitive you are imaginative and quick at finding a solution, or you could be observant which means you down to earth and you rely on your senses. The 3rd letter assesses between a person being thinking and feeling based. A Thinking fellow would be tough and focuses on the mind while a person who the test said was more feeling would be more sensitive and follow your hearts. The final letter depends on if you are a judging or prospecting individual. A Judging personality is decisive and seeks closure while a prospective individual is good at improvising situations and they seek freedom. Based on my letters I am considered an extrovert, an imaginative person, very in tune with my emotions, and am decisive.…

There are always two ways of measuring personality. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, used by colleges, businesses, and family, and the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory used by psychologists to help diagnose patients. These tests are important because you can make the most out of your personality if you are aware of your personality traits. According to Carter, Bishop, and Kravits (2007), personality assessments help people understand how they may respond to the world around them - including information, thoughts, feelings, people, and events. Dr. Joyce Bishop developed the Personality Spectrum assessment that constitutes four personality types, three of which will be covered in the following paragraphs. These personality types were designed to help one easily identify interactions that are most, and least, comfortable for themselves and show techniques that improve performance, learning strategies, and ways of relating to others (Carter, Bishop, & Kravits, 2007, p. 45).…

Over the course of 7 modules, different personality aspects of mine have been tested and evaluated and have even revealed things about myself that I was not aware of. The surveys and questions that I answered dug deep into decisions and choice I make, how I think and how I feel to reveal certain characteristics about myself, some of which I was aware of and others that I was not. Things such as my expression of sexuality, different levels and aspects of my psychology, my personal reactions to certain social situations, and the way I pursue and value my career were all evaluated by answering questionnaires. In the end a lot was revealed about the way I handle and look at things and even my overall personality.…

There aren’t many personality tests in this world that I would consider authentic, but the results that I gathered from the Jung Typology test were very accurate. My results concluded that my personality type is INTJ. When analyzed, this test interprets that I obtain distinctive qualities ranging equally high on the introverted and judging side, scoring a 67%. Also, my results confirmed that I portray moderate intuitive traits ending in a score of 25%, and a much expressed thinking personality with a score of 88%. To be quite honest, I really didn’t learn much about myself in the process of doing this test. Even with the “on-the-money” results that I received, I was already aware of these traits that I possess. Furthermore, the reason for this is probably because of the simple fact that I know I am an INTJ; INTJ’s are predominately on the introverted side, and are very “in-tune” with their bodies, knowing exactly what they’re made and capable of. This is the very same reason I wasn’t too surprised when I read my results either. However, the Jung Typology test, if carried out properly, should break-down anyone’s specific personality traits, thus giving them results that sound something like they already perceive themselves. Then again, it could render results that could completely surprise someone. In my case, I already knew what was coming, yet another quality of the intuitive and thinking style I have. I should be able to apply these results to my college career fairly easily for the very same reasons. In addition, INTJ’s can also be perceived as being cold-hearted. It is sometimes hard for INTJ’s to show…

Type A personality types are called Extroverts. People with this personality choice lack in patience's and tend to get frustrated fairly easy/short tempered, they are excessively self-critical, but have a strong urge towards competition and a high desire to accomplish tasks. Achievements are extremely important for Extroverts as they always want to perform to the best of their ability/stand out from the crowd and look impressive, however extroverts experiences high levels of anxiety when things do not go according to plan or if they are disrupted by another individual. For example if an Extrovert individual is revising for an exam and suddenly gets distracted, they are most likely to stop revising and become more involved with the surroundings around them then after, if they did not achieve the grade they was expected then they would become very self-critical but also exaggerate and blame certain individual that distracted them from revising in the past tense. This behaviour is normally assisted with Aggregation, Frustration, Stubbornness and Violates (Violates does not apply to everyone, depends on the situation they are in.) My opinion, as a human being I believe that you do not just have one personality type (A,B) you have both personality traits in you (Extrovert & Introvert) and strongly depending on your family upbringing and the people that are around you. Genetically I believe that you develop your personality from your parents, which is over a certain number of years from the age of 10 to 18 (8 years.)…
