"Sorry, Master Bloise-sama!" Sugawara apologizes, hopping over his cluttered desk and running up to his mentor. Bloise has been Sugawara's mentor for only about a year now, but Suga's learned so much in that time.

or if they think the apprentice needs a bit more teaching. Sugawara was taken in at the age of nine, which is a year early according to the average apprenticeship age of ten, but he's already advanced far into his studies within the year. Now ten years old, Master Bloise is officially able to show Sugawara where he gets all his herbs and ingredients for potions, which is where they are heading to now.
"Honestly, you have to tidy up your desk," Master Bloise says and Sugawara smiles sheepishly.
"I just get caught up with my readings most of the time," Sugawara replies, rubbing the back of his head as he follows Master Bloise out of the small cottage in the woods. "I'm currently reading about the ancient Dark Incantations!"
"That's good and all, but tidiness is essential to a wizard's work," Master Bloise explains. "If you lose just one scroll, well then...... good luck. You're on your own when that happens."
"I'll clean it up immediately when we get back," Sugawara says, smiling widely as he stands at the top of the hill with Master Bloise, looking out at the town in the distance. "It's going to be amazing to be in the village again~"
"Indeed." Master Bloise runs his hand through his teal hair, his green eyes shining. Sugawara looks up at him, his brown eyes shining as …show more content…
well.
"Let's go!" He squeals, running down the hill, his arms out wide. Master Bloise laughs and runs after his young apprentice.
"Be careful, Suga!" Master Bloise yells and Sugawara gives him the thumbs-up sign.
"I'll be fine!" He yells back to his mentor, jumping high into the air and spinning, light blue, pink, and yellow magic twirling in a spirals around him before he lands, continuing his decent of the hill. Master Bloise chuckles.
"I'm sure he'll get along well with Hachiro's kid...." Master Bloise says to himself, trying to catch up with Sugawara.

"The village is so lively today," Sugawara comments, watching adults buy stuff from the market while their kids run around and play.
"It reminds me of when I was young," Master Bloise replies, stepping aside as a kid nearly runs into him.
"You still are young!" Sugawara says. "You're only 27 years old!"
"Ah.... well, I guess that is still young," Master Bloise says, laughing. "I was trying to sound old and wise though, but you didn't seem to pick up on it."
"Oh, sorry," Sugawara apologizes. "Also, I've been wondering...."
"That's always dangerous," Master Bloise interrupts Sugawara.
"Why is your hair teal? That isn't natural, is it?" Sugawara asks and Master Bloise shakes his head.
"Of course not. I used magic to change its colour," he says. "Oh. Look at that. We're here." Sugawara stops walking and looks at a small, wooden building with a sign reading 'Herb Shop' hanging above the door. It looked like a very cozy place and Sugawara wouldn't doubt if the owner's house was attached to it.
"It looks just splendid!" Sugawara says, smiling.
"The inside is much better," Master Bloise says. "Trust me on that." He starts walking down the cobblestone path to the front door and Sugawara follows close behind, trying to get a peek at the inside though the windows. While looking in one of the windows, Sugawara catches a glimpse of a young man with darker skin and short, almost black hair.
"Who was that?" Sugawara asks and Master Bloise looks back at him.
"Who are you talking about?" He asks.
"The pretty person I just saw!" Sugawara exclaims. "With the darker skin and short, dark hair! He was carrying a very heavy looking box!" Master Bloise only laughs in response as he opens the front door to the shop.
"Kanzaburo!" A man behind the counter greets. "How long has it been since you've been down here in the village?"
"Too long, Hachiro," Master Bloise replies. "So how's Daichi been?"
"He's been just fine.
A little agitated, but he's been no trouble at all," the counter man says. "I take it this is your apprentice?"
"Yep. This is Sugawara Koushi, son of Sugawara Eiko," Master Bloise says.
"Hello!" Sugawara greets. "This is a very nice shop!"
"Well, he's sure got his mother's politeness." The man behind the counter, 'Hachiro', smiles. "And he's got his mother's looks." Sugawara smiles back at the man. He's always being compared to his mother's looks and attitude, but he didn't really mind it. His mother, Eiko, was a nice and dependable woman.
"Dad, I've finished restocking the shelves," a voice says behind Sugawara. He turns to see the boy from earlier holding the same box, but it was empty this time.
"Great. You can go set the box in the backroom and have the rest of the day to yourself," Hachiro says. "Unless you want to study up on the different herbs." Sugawara, completely ignoring his mentor and the counter guy, stares at the young boy. He had to be about the same age as Sugawara and with his darker skin, almost black, short hair, and brown eyes, he had a certain beauty him. And he seemed reasonably built for his ago too, his muscles slightly showing through his shirt. Oh...... and Suga just noticed the best part about
him.
"Hi, I'm Sugawara Koushi and you have great thighs."
