Each step represents an intentional activity rather than an isolated exercise. Task series are built on the premise that the tasks start within the child's ability level and then progress in difficulty culminating in a functional independent goal.”(Darrha et al, 2004, p.187) I agree with him because I notice that learners become more relaxed when are working in groups so they can share their information and the activity that they get, must be not the same like one size fit them all it must be different, teacher must do it step by step so can help those struggling

The difference between what a learner can achieve independently and what a learner can achieve with scaffolding and encouragement is known as the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). Vygotsky states that the ZPD is where the most sensitive guidance should be given and if done so properly, it can support children towards developing higher mental functions. Furthermore, he recommends that teachers make the most of cooperative learning exercises where all children can benefit from one…

Initially, I had a negative view on group working because of the challenges that I had. When I was in high school, my five other friends and I used to work together in a music competition. Although we were supposed to get together to practice for the event, we were only able to meet up once a week. In addition to having a hard time with time scheduling, we often did not have a consensus of opinion. Whenever we had a discussion, we usually ended up with no results. So it always took a long time for us to make a decision. Consequently, the performance did not turn out as well as we expected. Because of this initial failure, I thought group work was time consuming and ineffective. However, I have changed my opinion lately because of the successful results in some of my laboratory classes. In each laboratory assignment, it is nearly impossible to work by myself because there are a lot of steps and each step needs to be very precise and accurate. Therefore, a group of two or three students will work more effectively compared to an individual because they can help to remind each other and finish the assignment faster. Based on those experiences, one more time I give myself a chance to work in a group and figured out how work effectively. Finally, thank to the Small group communication class, I found out that group work can become very productive if all the members in the group cooperate and follow the principles of small group communication. In this paper, I want to talk…

Reading this article I form my own opinion, I believe that it stated great ideas on how to ensure that each students is making educational success. For example, in my own classroom I have my students divided in to 5 groups that rotate through 5 different centers this way I could focus on what each students needs on a smaller scale. One thing that I believe this article leaves out is how hard it is to create a system in a classroom that works so that students on all levels could work independently. I know I personally work every day to try and improve my system. I try to color code everything this way my students know they must complete the task with the same color marker. In my classroom I am lucky enough to have an instructional assistant, I image that it is even harder to accommodate all the needs in a classroom with large class sizes.…
