Metal

Molybdenum is solid with a density of 10.2g/cm3, its boiling point is 4912 K or 4639°C which is 8382°F in fahrenheit, and its melting point 2896 K or 2623°C and 4753°F in fahrenheit. There are 24 isotopes, although 7 are naturally occurring isotopes;92Mo (14.8%), 94Mo (9.2%), 95Mo (15.9%),
96Mo (16.7%), 97Mo (9.6%), 98Mo (24.1%) and 100Mo (9.6%). It is a metal and at room temperature water and oxygen don't react with the element. It is a natural element which could be obtained by mining it, it has both acid and based characteristics, and it has a body centered cubic crystallization structure. Molybdenum was founded by Carl W. Scheele in 1778, people thought that it was graphite (lead) but then they concluded it wasn't lead because nitric acid doesn't react with graphite although molybdenum produced a white solid. Peter J. Hjelm reduced the white solid with carbon and heating it in a crucible to create a metallic powder he named molybdenum. The metal is most

By artificially making Technetium it can be injected into a patient's bloodstream enabling gamma rays (x rays) to detect diseases or cancer. In World War 1 and 2 there were shortage of tungsten steels and depended on molybdenum which replaced many of the known superalloys. Since it’s an uncommon element mainly found in the earth's crust, they had an abundance of it. Molybdenum is also used for taking fingerprints which is used by RCMP in investigations. That's why when imprinting your fingerprint there is left behind a dark color partly because of the Molybdenum
