Money Bring Happiness
“It is not money that brings up happiness but what we do and how we do it” 309

Money is most often cited as a crucial material for people to satisfy their needs ranged from the simplest to the most complicated desire. Hence, many people spend their whole life seeking for money which offers them utmost happiness and super power. In contrast, I honestly believe that it is not money that brings up happiness but what we do and how we do it.

Speaking of mentality, money is not necessary and sufficient condition leading us to happiness. What is happiness? Simply speaking, happiness is the way people feel satisfied with what they have. Let’s me back it up by some illustrations. A poet will definitely feel sublimated when he finishes composing a masterpiece of poem. A stamp collection will obviously happy with looking and treasuring his stamps. Even an old man can smile for whole day if he wins a game of chess. Doubtlessly, in such cases, money plays no role in the humans feeling. Hence, I completely believe that people can feel extremely pleased and happy without any interference from money.

Moreover, to tell the truth, being absorbed in earning money can result in the loss of happiness of the people in life. In the materialized world, people keep on intending which is the best way to invest their money, what the most profitable market segment is worthy to be put money in and who is the most suitable person who will control the portfolio. The people obsessed with money can easily forget their actually meaningful tasks such as caring for their families, having time with their friends…etc. They trap themselves in the materialized ambition and lose what are important to their life. How can they feel happy?

To wrap up, in my perspective, happiness can’t be built up solely on money. That’s the reason we should care for many facets of life

“It seems only natural that happiness should flow from having more money. Even if they don’t admit it, people still behave as though it were true. More money means you can have what you want and do what you want.” (Dean 2008). Wealth and possessions do not equal happiness because no matter how much money and gems you have you can not buy feelings, but only comfort, also if you are working hard for more money you are experiencing more stress and negative emotions.…

In the article “Does Money Really Make People Happier?” Jessica Krampe asserts that money’s false assumptions of solving all of someone’s problems are only partially true. Though money can be used to momentarily buy happiness, such as a fashionable car that really provokes a person’s interest, money cannot be used to buy happiness. It is a commonly false assumption that with wealth and riches, all the happiness and joy in the world will fall into your hands. Money can instead be used as a tool to instead better your life.…

The question as to whether happiness is defined by money is often times brought up. Many people would argue that money does not create happiness, and rather make the argument that happiness is created through what you make out of your life. On the other hand, one could argue that happiness is related to monetary gains, and that the more money you have the happier you are. There are probably a hundred different thoughts on what happiness is, but happiness is truly defined as when someone acquires personal satisfaction in life, which can often times be achieved through monetary gains.…

“Money has never made man happy, nor will it, there is nothing in its nature to produce happiness. The more of it one has, the more one wants,” quoted by Benjamin Franklin. Money can’t buy happiness because materials are short lived, human connection is more important, and wealth undermines people’s ability to savor positive events from the sheer abundance. Money will accumulate, but it is easy to chase more and more until you realize you’re not actually living.…

People often think money cannot grant you access to the perception of happiness. According to happiness researchers Elizabeth Dunn and Michael Norton money can be very influential to people's happiness (Cass R. Sunstein, 549). In itself money can not provide them with happiness, but money presents them with endless opportunities to experience happiness. Money provides an outlet out of their monotonous everyday lives. The American work ethic has traditionally been the catalyst for American success and happiness.…

I personally think that money does not equal happiness. Money may be able to buy you many things like a mansion, nice cars, even some very nice clothes, but the happiness you get out of that will not last forever. What I think is that money can buy you all these amazing things that will make you happy, but after a while you will not be satisfied with what you have and you will not be happy. For example in the story “The Necklace” all Madame Loisel wanted was to wear something expensive to the ball dance she was invited to.…

How much we earn from money and our emotional state, information and support show the correlation between those factors, determining that money can buy happiness. “$76,000 in Minnesota is reaching the “happiness benchmark” ” (Short). Which means earning more than $76,000 as a yearly salary wont improve how individuals feel day-to-day. Although this income goes towards education, security, housing, and bills of standard living, etc. what’s left over is for people’s entertainment such as material or experiential things either way money is a motivator. Having goals to reach and opportunities are what people look for, primarily having more possibilities and choices you have is an accomplishment (Short). While V, Jayaram says happiness is what you can’t buy in stores, like love, dreams, friends, and time. Arguing with this point you need to achieve again the “happiness benchmark” to be financially stable and comfortable to fulfill ones dreams in life…

For centuries, mankind seeks to answer the question: Can money buy happiness? Therefore psychologists are exploring the relationship between wealth and happiness for decades. They came to the conclusion that money can make people happy if it involves moving from a state of extreme poverty into the middle class, but they do not have a noticeable impact in the future. It means that people feel glad and safe when they have enough of money to satisfy daily needs. It is important to understand, what really makes people happy besides the living routine. Jarod Kintz quotes “I think the key indicator for wealth is not good grades, work ethic, or IQ. I believe it is relationships. Ask yourself two questions: How many people do I know, and how much ransom money could I get for each one? ”I think it is safe to say happiness have many aspects. The real versions of well-being that plays out every day are the ones based upon an individual experience, perception and values.…
