A boy was found in the woods by Benedick, he had been raised and protected my monkeys most of his life. He walked and talked like a monkey and some said that he even looked like a monkey.

When a child grows up it learns to socialize with others and slowly get closer to the people around them, this allows the child to grow and learn. This little boy was influenced by monkeys and learn to grow up imitating what they did and learn to interact with the other monkeys as they did with each other. “Monkeys thrive on to socialise with each other but different species of monkey socialise with a large range of sounds and that can include chatter , clicking and yelling but there modes and how they interact with other can changed on how stressed they are so that can be from an unknown being a possible threat to their family(Monkey Worlds, 2016) When monkey boy was put back into society, the other children and teachers were afraid of him so he did was not able to learn how to properly socialise with humans instead of monkeys. We can see in the documentary when they try to give him a bath his mood changes as monkeys would when they are under stress and confused on what was happening , has the boy had never been bathed like this before he was terrified.

We do know that monkey boy did not learn speech but he was using object based which occurs in the sensorimotor stage , meaning that he was point and grabbing towards things that he wanted instead of talking. We also don’t know how long that he has grown up with the monkeys but this has affected the way he acts. A normal child starts learns to crawl before they walk in Monkey boys cases has learned to walk and a squatted like a monkey would by watching what they do. He has the mindset of a monkey but a body of a human
