Monkey Stunk Perception
My perception of that was wrong. I thought the same thing when, I saw that video, that the monkey butt stunk. I remember working for a gentleman and he just looked like he was always upset about something because of the look of his face. I always was afraid to say anything to him. I remember one day he came out the office and I just blatantly asked him. Why do you always look like you are upset? He replied, I am not. He then said. Before I buy a stock, I calculate the numbers in my head, so when you see me looking puzzled, I am thinking numbers. All I could do was laughed, because all of the assistants thought the same

The Monkey's Paw by W.W. Jacobs is a story of misfortune. The author uses foreshadowing in the story to build tension, and suspense to keep the reader entertained. W.W. Jacob does this by creating certain plot twists, and pacing the story rapidly but still having lots of detail. This book reminds me of being careful for what I wish for and lessons learned. The story begins with the main character, Mr. White, receiving a monkey's paw from a friend.…

By the year 1931, one in three New Yorkers were unemployed. According to Oren Harman in his book “ The Price of Altruism” words “…roughly 1.6 on some form of relief.” New York hit rock bottom when it peaks the most between 1932 and 1933. The Great Depression was an economic crash lasting from 1929 to 1939, it didn’t have much effect on the rashly rich, but it took its tolls on everyone else, especially New Yorkers who had the hell of it.…

On Saturday, February 27, 2016, an absolutely beautiful day in Houston, Texas, the opportunity came to mind to make a trip to the Houston Zoo. Arriving the smell of fresh planted herbs and assorted roses, in magnificently worked landscapes, blended with a diversity of people with enough laughter to bring a smile, to put one at ease. This trip my intentions were focused on hopefully sharing, quality time with a primate. Observing their life through glass windows in the day room, moving to the outside containment, where there were two Western Low back Gorillas, napping under large distant shade trees. The outside containment was clean, but limited their ability of freedom. Parking myself where one could evaluate and…

Often times, when an individual with only basic knowledge of biological anthropology considers the adaptation and evolution a group, the importance of coevolution is either overlooked or understated. In the article Manipulation complexity in primates coevolved with brain size and terrestriality, which can be found in the magazine Nature, authors Sandra A. Heldstab, Zaida K. Kosonen, Sonja E. Koski, Judith M. Burkart, Carel P. van Schaik & Karin Isler, find that there is a plethora of evidence that says otherwise in the terms of manipulation complexity coevolving with terrestriality and brain size.…

The Monkey’s Paw, written by W.W. Jacobs, is a short story about the consequences of messing with fate. Mr. White is a simple man living with his wife, Mrs. White, and his grown son, Herbert. One evening Sergeant-Major Morris, a family friend back from India, visits them and shows them a monkey’s paw he had gotten there, saying that it will grant a man three wishes, but that it was made to prove that when you mess with fate, bad things happen. Even with the warning, Mr. White uses the monkey’s paw to grant his wishes, and soon pays the price. I think the theme of this story is basically, “Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.”…

Yvonne, I know someone who is repetitively following the same pattern. Sandra, say she is looking for a committed relationship. She does not want to be alone. I believe that we should definitely be able to trust our senses to give us an accurate view of the world. We are taught as we grow up to learn how to crawl, walk, read, write, etc. In order to do these things we have to explore and learn. Learning is the most fundamental part of someone’s development due to it deals with the cognitive development stage of sociology.
