Why is the moon visible at different times of the day throughout the lunar cycle? I know that it happens, but I am not sure why. I want to research this when I have more time to explore more about the moon. I also wonder a few things about both the moon and about teaching and learning. I wonder how much the moon affects popular culture; I now notice more song lyrics about the moon. Career and Technical Education could study the moon in this manner to better understand advertising, technology, and sales. In relation to teaching and learning, I wonder how the population views Career and Technical Education. When we studied the Committee of Ten, it appeared that the general attitude about vocational education was negative; it was for those who did not have the “ability” to learn (National Education Association, 1894). I also want to learn more about Expeditionary Learning and how Family and Consumer Sciences can utilize it in teaching. Farrell’s (2000) idea of stepping back and letting students take charge intrigues me and I want to look into this idea more. Overall, this was a very powerful learning experience.
