Human beings have a chance to survive only jointly. All of the moral laws that are praised by transcendentalists, as independent infinite truth; or another example of transcendentalism is Kant’s ethics of duty (Rachels, James, 1999) were simply determined by the natural selection. Severe conditions of wild nature taught humanity that the single way to remain alive is to help each other; otherwise, they are merely a number of easy preys. This lesson was learnt not only by humans but also by animals. Altruism contributes to the success of the species in this struggle for existence a lot. Ants that almost do not have a chance are doing their best; they have quiet long life cycle, because of their strict organization that is aimed at the survival of the whole species. The same thing is observed in human history; the first hunters worked together in order to succeed in hunt. Cases of sacrifice of an animal for the sake of others, and mainly for procreation shows that morality is biologically based. Humanity achieved long life and better life quality due to cooperativeness and other social instincts. What we have today is basically the same as thousands years ago with the difference that those social instincts merely evolved into moral standards, as a human himself evolved into more intelligent creature, than earlier.
