President Obama talks about how race has always been a problem in the country by people’s languages and actions, although there is still good in those people. Obama former pastor wright made racist comments but Obama did not agree with his pastor comments at all. Obama convict the audience by telling them that we should be working together to better our country instead of giving hatred to one another because of race. This speech gave Obama a boost in his election and opened the eyes of many Americans, also helped many heal their wounds from the past and carry on with their lives. Obama locate truths by telling his own background story to show the audience he is capable of leading the country forward. This was the speech that made American create history that elected our first African American president and because of it the next generation after that can always refer to that
