The 1930's was an era that the whole world would not forget because it was a decade of great hopelessness around the whole world. Two of the Americans presidents witnessed this era. The first American president who witnessed the great depression is Herbert Hoover. He was the President for the united stated from 1929 to 1933. I believe that Hoover's political philosophy Laissez-Faire could be one of the reason that made the approach to the great depression. He did not take any effective action toward the depression; he just was letting things take their own way without interfering, so even the solutions that he suggested were voluntary and not efficient. However, no one could plume him for the depression itself. One of the main reasons that lead to the great depression was the stock market crash. As a result of the stock market crash, the United States economy became really weak since the American demand was declining and the debt for many corporations was increasing.
