Being a part of so many great organizations, for example SMAC (Stillwater Makes a Change) and Youth Leadership Oklahoma, has not compared to being a part of Pink Out week at Stillwater High School. So far, I believe that my greatest accomplishment has been being a Co-head of Pink Out week. Pink Out has helped me grow so much as a leader and has taught me how to execute large scale events. It has also been my biggest impact on the community.…

Many people have great accomplishments in their life but as a young adult I have only lived a mere eighteen years. I have accomplished many awards through sports and academics that would probably be something to brag about. There are many accomplishments in my life of which I am proud, however there are two for which I am especially proud. Those being, having the opportunity to play varsity shortstop in high school, and having good enough grades to be nominated for, and to be admitted into, the National Honor Society. These accomplishments make me proud because they are goals that I was able to set and accomplish for myself. These are successes that not everyone can say that they have achieved.…

The first would be my administrative tasks as a Resident Assistant. I consistently turned in papers, forms, and completed task on time or before the deadline. This also included emailing and updating my supervisor about any resident conflicts or situations that occurred. I feel that this is an accomplishment because I was able to keep the line of communication open to my supervisor and ensured that all information was given in a timely manner. Another accomplishment I achieved over the past semester was being flexible to my other Resident Assistants. There were many times when last minute another Resident Assistant needed to switch duty days or had an emergency situation and I was able to cover for them. For example, during the semester one Resident Assistant needed to go to the hospital last minute and needed someone to cover. Despite it being last minute and on a Friday night, I was able to take the duty day. This is an accomplishment because I felt like I was a vital member of the team and that people could rely on me to step up to the plate when need…
The proudest moment in my high school career is when I signed myself to take my first AP class. I was really nervous about going to the meeting to sign myself up to get the summer assignment because I felt that I was not ready for the work load, and I would not be able to pass the class. My excuse for not going to the meeting was that I was helping in the cafeteria and I was going to be really late, but when I told my two best friends Jenny and Virginia that I wasn't going to take it anymore. They got so frustrated and annoyed with me because they said I was stupid if I didn’t take AP calculus because that was my favorite subject and I needed a challenge in that class. They also made me remember when I would tell them that Math Analysis was…

The most defining moment in my JSA career thus far was getting my bill passed at Winter Congress. In my previous debate experience, I had never had the opportunity to write my own bill and debate it in front of an audience. I love how JSA allows students to explore their own political interests and debate about what they are passionate about. I was very interested in climate change, so I decided to write and present a bill to combat climate change…
