This is a story about a Big woman that goes by the name of “Big Mae”. She is the common law wife to a man named Old man Berry. He spends his days sitting in the bar owned by a man named Howard. Every morning Smitty and Cuz who were Berry’s buddies, along with Berry stood outside the bar waiting for Howard to arrive. Inside they sit around talking mess and Berry spends all of the money given to him by Mae.
One day, Howard decides to give berry a piece of his mind regarding the way he treats Mae. Berry hadn’t had a job in years and Mae was on welfare, but everyday Berry sits in the bar and spends Mae’s welfare money on drinks. Howard advises Berry that it is time to get his self together and do right by Mae.
