Delivering educational material to high school students can be a taxing feat. Students can become overwhelmed and discouraged. Motivating students, through the establishment of entertaining learning activities and incorporating versatile methods of teaching as well as ; collaborating the efforts of teachers and parents to motivate students to perform optimally in class, enabling them to successfully graduate along with their peers. Kendra Cherry expert of psychology, defines motivation as ' 'a process that initiates, guides, and maintains goal-oriented behaviors. It involves the biological, emotional, social, and cognitive forces that activate behavior ' '.
