Introduction
The establishment and performance of the business incentives like junction hotel is based on the capacity to relay its goals and objectives. The goals and objectives are the leading attributes that defines the capacity of the organization and the management of the organizations must be on the forefront in ensuring that the goals and the objectives are realized. Normally, the attributes of ensuring realization of these attributes are determined by the existing organizational culture and social factors existing within the organization. In reality, the aspect of organizational culture has been identified as one of the critical factors that have immense magnitude towards to the development of the organization. In view of this realization, the attributes of the organizational culture can be illustrated to be the collective behavior of the human factors working in the organization and more importantly the meanings that people from the organization attach to their actions (BBC, 2010). The consideration of culture is wide and encompasses the norms, values, language, beliefs and habits amongst others. Furthermore, organizational culture and social organization are tow attributes that work together and they result in the determination of organizational performance.
However, some organizations like junction hotel has poorly developed organizational structure that has resulted in reducing the performance of the organization and further results in the rise of conflicts between the members of the organization. In this regard, the intervention of rationalization matters becomes essential. Generally, rationalization techniques are conducted to initiate increase in the efficiency of the company and this involves the enactment of rational policies and reorganization. The improvement of efficiency may achieve through reduction or expansion of the organizational size and other aspects of rationalization may include the consideration of alteration strategy that pertains to particular products. In the case of junction hotel, the enactment of rationalization strategy is extremely beneficial because the hotel has been faced with increasing attributes of disparities owing to poor management policies and the existence of poor organizational culture (Evan, 2007). Certainly, the enactment of ideal rationalization policies is critical for the hotel because it will help increase the efficiency and profitability in the organization.
Junction hotel analysis
Analysis conducted to reveal the performance of junction hotel has revealed that the hotel is faced with increasing attributes of disparities that concerns lack of ideal management structures and this has hindered the attribute of increased performance and out put of the individuals working in the organization. Since the establishment of the organization, the organization has continued to experience critical growth while the management has continued to continue with the adoption of the ideal management concept. The establishment of this factor has continued to derail the performance of the organization because the onsets of growth have not been met increasing enactment of policies to govern the aspects of cultural development. Certainly, the general manager, Meg has continued to apply the friendly gesture management approach and this has derailed the establishment of increased output from the organization.
The prevailing organizational culture and social structure has also been another detrimental attribute that has resulted in the reduction of organizational performance because it does not improve the performance of the organization. The establishment of this current organizational culture has been faced with disparities because it does not support the important aspect that enhances the consideration of upholding personal habits and interests, instead, the general manager Meg believes that the personal; feelings and attributes should not influence organizational performance. Ideal organization culture and structure should be the basis of the increase in the performance of the organization because it encourages the development of ideal policies that help in the establishment of credible leadership, power and politics in the organization. On the other hand, ideal organizational culture also leads towards the development of corporate social responsibility thereby ensuring that the organization is responsible for its actions both to the stakeholders and to the communities (Donkin, 2001). In addition, the organization should also consider development the goals and ambitions of the workers. All these factors have resulted in the reduction of performance in junction hotel where the performance of the organizations continues to be derailed.
Junction hotel is also characterized by the rising disparities that concern the existing clash of conflicts due to the absence of clearly defined organizational chart that defines the roles and functions of every employee. In reality, analysis of the employee structure within junction hotel has revealed that the operation of the hotel is characterized by the prospects of rising conflicts between the managerial departments and the employees. For instance, Meg constantly interferes with the duties of Linda Wilkson who managers the cleaners, reception, maintenance and fitness employees. The management of the restaurant has also been the subject of conflict between Linda and Effingham who is the chef and he feels that he should manage both waiters and chefs. The involvement of the part time accountant David Hunter also conflicts with the roles of Linda the accounting clerk. The existence of these conflicts has resulted in the development of conflict between the departments and also between the employees and this aspect has resulted in the reduction of performance of the hotel.
Rationalization in junction
In view of these disparities, the enactment of is extremely essential because it has the attributes of detecting the source of the disparities in the organization because it enhances the enactment of ideal features that improves the development and efficiency of the organization. The aspect of rationalization will further increase performance of the organization because it will help increase in detection of the disparities and further contributes in the development of the probable measures to correct the disparities. For instances, the incoming manager of junction hotel has consulted for the services of Phil Weaver who has the reputation of fixing dysfunctional organizations and further has the capacity of enacting ideal polices that initiate development of the organization (Ritzer, 2008). The consideration of these factors has been immensely beneficial to the hotel because restoration of performance has been restored and the profitability has been enhanced.
The establishment of rationalization has resulted in the establishment of organizational charts with distinct roles and responsibilities of all the members of the organization and it has also highlighted critical procedures for the formalities in the organization. Furthermore, rationalization in the organization has been of immense benefits because it has necessitated the consideration coherent management and organization in the hotel and this has largely enacted the restoration of profitability in the organization (Morgan, 2006). Finally, the enactment rationalization in the organization has also enabled the attribute of enabling the distinction between the departments thereby enabling the employees to understand who they are report to and who gives the orders in the organization. In this regard, rationalization of junction hotel has significantly enhanced the capacity of increasing its efficiency and profitability.
Organizational culture and the social organization
Over the period, the attributes of Organizational culture and the social organization have been used as the leading factors that have been adopted by various organizations to help increase the performance of the organizations. In reality, organizational culture has been adopted on of the critical incentives that results in the increase in the organizational performance and largely contributes towards the consideration of improving the performance of the organization. The study conducted across various organizations has reveled that each and every organization has different attributes of existing organizational culture and the performance of the organization is largely dependent on the aspects of culture (Pirjol & Maxim, 2012). Certainly, the consideration of culture has critical incentive of improving the performance of the organization more than the contributions of rationalization because culture inspires the organizational workers by developing favorable environment and captivating the habits and beliefs in the organization and this result in the establishment of increased corporation in the organization.
Organizational culture further represents the state of collective mental assumptions that guides the interpretation and actions taken by the members of the organization. Organizational culture is distinct to the organization and it represents the perception of the members in terms of the stakeholders and interaction with the clients and other groups of people. Therefore, organizational culture cannot be solely controlled by the management of the organization though it is inspired by the management of the organization. In reality, the management and leadership influences the existing organizational culture by controlling the heart and mind of the employees. This incentive is particularly ideal when the employees are motivated by the existing culture to work towards the realization of increased development of the goals and objectives of the organization (Janićijević, 2012). The consequences of exerting control of the minds and hearts of the employees is the increase in the performance of the organization and further the establishment of ideal factor to enhances corporation and upholding of culture.
Even though the attributes of Organizational culture and the social organization are essential of the eahcnement of performance, some attributes of culture may not confer with rationalization attributes because rational practice may have conflicting differences with the cultures and habits adopted by some organizations. The development of these factors generally results in the increase if conflict between different objectives of the business incentives. Therefore, it is extremely beneficial for the factors to be development of some factors to be adopted based on the recommendation of the management of the organization and these includes leadership, power and political consideration plus the aspects of corporate social responsibility.
Organizational leadership is essential for the enactment of ideal policies to necessitate realization of increased performance. Leadership is essential in the organization because it is considered as one fo the strategic management incentives that involves inspiring the employees to work towards the realization of their full potential and helping the organization to achieve its goals and objective sin the long run. Certainly, leadership results in the organization of the factors of production and further established conservation of the factors that enhances the development of the organization. Good leaders understand the complexity of the organization and further involve the entire department and management of the organization in the attributes of decision making. The contributions from the other members of the organizations serve the purpose of increasing the performance and development and performance of the organization. Leadership is an important concept that largely increases the performance of organization because it has the attributes of defining the regulation to be observed in the organization (Janićijević, 2012). Furthermore, leaders have power to make essential decisions and influence their followers by offering direction to be followed. The consideration of strategic management which is strategic management incentive results in the attribute of increased consideration of the implication of developmental attributes that largely increases empowerment of the employees to realize their potential.
Corporate social responsibility
Apart form the matters of organizational culture and leadership, the contributions of the organizations towards the realization of corporate social responsibility is also another essential aspect that has been considered as the concept of realization of realization of increased performance. With the development and advancement in the organization, it becomes extremely essential for the organization to broaden the scope of the realization of corporate social responsibility. In reality, corporate social responsibility is an incentive introduced to ensure that ethical attributes are maintained and that the organizations meet its goals and objectives.
The organizations operating in the industry like junction hotel must ensure that obey the existing ethical standards and provisions in the economy because failure to observe these factors in the market results in the violation of corporate social responsibility directives. Over the period, the aspect fo corporate social responsibility has been adopted as the critical aspect that enhances the establishment and performance of the industry (Mărăcine, 2012). In the context of justice hotel, the hotel has been characterized by the increase in the practice of unethical practices that has resulted in the establishment of conflicts in the organization. The prevalence of unethical practices is also evidenced by lack of essential factors that enhances and performance of the organization.
Certainly, corporate social responsibility is an essential attribute in business organizations that should be upheld because it results in the consideration of enhancing development. Certainly, the aspect of increased participation and satisfaction of the society depends on the enactment of social responsibility indicators. The business organization must benefit the dependants, society and the stakeholders and this leads to the establishment of ethical practices. Ethical strategy is one of the leading features that enhances performance and further increases the development of the organizational leadership incentives by a greater margin (Mărăcine, 2012). In this regard, it is extremely critical for the management of junction hotel to consider the aspect of enacting factors leading to the realization of ethical practices under the umbrella of corporate social responsibility. This will ensure increase in the strategic management of the junction hotel thereby increasing the output of the organization.
The government has enacted measure to ensure that social responsibility attributes are enacted by the management of various organizations and these results in the increase of community benefits. Analysis conducted in junction hotel has revealed the management of the organization is characterized by factors that derail the realization of corporate social responsibility. The existence of conflicts in the organization has resulted in the implication of poor communication directives that has resulted in poor departmental relationship and this has adverse effects because it has enhanced reduction in the capacity of the organization to realize its goals and objectives.
Rationalization in junction hotel
Analysis conducted across the global economy has revealed that the disparities and the fluctuation in the economic performance of the economies have adversely affected the performance of critical number of industries. In order to restore the performance of some industries in the economy, it is extremely essential for the management of the affected organizations to enact rationalization as the corrective policy (Hwang & Powell, 2009). Specifically, the performance of junction hotel has been adversely reduced by the existing managerial attributes that has failed to enact ideal features and policies to mitigate development. the policies enacted by the general manager Meg has resulted in the rise of disparities because they have not highlighted the responsibilities and contributions of both managers and employees and this has resulted in the call for the enactment of ideal rationalization techniques.
The enactment of rationalization by the management of the organization has significant amount of benefit but the overall concern is that it increases the realization of increasing the profitability of the organization by adopting better management policies that increases the level of community in the organization. The case of rationalization in junction hotel is characterized by the definition of the roles of the workers with the aim of reducing the existence of conflicts in the organization. Rationalization is best suited for this purpose because it has clear plan that highlights control in the organization and further identifies the prepositions for investments and metrics for the facilitation of collaboration amongst the stakeholders.
The concept of optimization is another attribute that is listed as another benefit of rationalization and this is essential for the enhancement of performance. Rationalization ensures that organizational spending in highly regulated and the investments are paying off. It is also important for the managers of the organization to merge the different departments in the organization so as to continue with the onset of profitability (Zepf, 2011). This is depicted by the developments that have been adopted by justice hotel and they have merged some of the departments as a measure of creating distinction for order and plans in the organization. In order to increase the quest for the pursuit of profits, Simon Chance has organized the development of footballpals on the ticket-only basis.
The developments of this attribute resulted in the generation of more profits for the organization thereby helping in the restoration of glory and market position and subsequent realization of profits due to large number of customers. In the wake of the ring developments in the hotel, the concerns about the establishment of quality has been compromised by the development of the more profit as the incentive for the organization. However, the depiction form the observation of the event in justice hotel resulted in the realization that the enactment of rationalization factors is extremely beneficial for the restoration of the performance of justice hotel.
Conclusion
Over the period, the global regime has witnessed an increase in the attributes of development and this has been characterized by the consideration of developing organizations. In the wake of these developments, management has been considered as one of the critical aspects that enhances development of the organization. Specifically, junction hotel has been on the front line for disparities in the management that has been associated with the practice of poor management policies. It is beneficial for the management to enhance factors that reduces the aspects of conflicts and encourages participation and development of the organizational goals and objectives. In order to restore the performance of the hotel, the enactment of rationalization factors has been identified as essential because it identifies the corrective measure that should be enacted to ensure increased performance.
