1. Define motivation, critically evaluate contribution of Mc GREGOR to MOTIVATION

As a vehicle need fuel to move and it is an drving force for vehicle, in the same manner any persone need some driven trigger to move of to complete the given task, this fuel called motivation in psychological language.
This need to be mention that this motivation factor can be internal or external.

As an organization, this is compulsory to appraise the achievement and recognized the employee’s positive result
This can be done with MOTIVATION .Motivation is the driven force which will initiate the employee to work up to their efficient level. It is generally assumed that well motivated employees will perform better than that of other employees. It is the process of stimulating people to actions to accomplish the goals.
Examples: success, recognition ,job-satisfaction , team work, etc…
According to DUBLIN, “the complex of force starting and keeping a person at work in an originations” thus
Motivation is something that moves the persone to action and continues him in the course of action already initiated

Mc Gregor ‘s motivational theory

Mc gregor theory ,in the field of motivation, is well accepted and refereed theory. It is base s on two different dimention on the base of positive and negative approach. Theory X and theory Y are two different aspect of Mc GEORGOR.
McGregor's X-Y theory is a salutary and simple reminder of the natural rules for managing people, which under the pressure of day-to-day business are all too easily forgotten.
McGregor's ideas suggest that there are two fundamental approaches to managing people. Many managers tend towards theory x, and generally get poor results. Enlightened managers use theory y, which produces better performance and results, and allows people to grow and develop theory x
This theory is traditional approcaches based and also calles “carrot and sticks”. As per theory X, employees need push and effective
