Firstly, my desire to travel all over the world and my curiosity to gain knowledge about every country and culture, made language school my first choice as regards to education. I have always been interested in learning more languages so as not to put a limiting barrier on my goals and potential. The years I spent in the high school helped me further develop my skills in writing, it became evident for my teachers and classmates that I had a good writing style and skill. They were the people who encouraged me to apply for a degree in Journalism. It soon became one of my hobbies to collect, analyze and interpret information about current events, personalities and trends of contemporary life. My friends often refer to me as 'the journalist' due to my love of asking questions and making investigations. Secondly, to me journalism as a profession is a rather exciting one. Being aware of all important news, having the right to express personal opinion and comment on global issues and above all, helping other people makes the profession a very rewarding one. For me this constitutes as not merely work but sheer pleasure. Furthermore, my suspicious mind could be of benefit to Journalism. I never let things stay unresolved and don't resign until the truth comes out. I would love to find things out and share my discoveries with readers or listeners. Upon graduation, I believe that a degree in journalism can open a lot of doors in many respective fields of work. For example: newspaper editors, broadcast anchors, and an increasing number work in digital roles as data journalists and on-line community managers.
