Movie Analysis: Crooked Arrows
Crooked Arrows is a movie about a team of lacrosse players with a Native American heritage. The game of lacrosse was originated by Native Americans. In the past, lacrosse was called “The Creators Game”. It is said that they would play the game to please the creator. In the movie, the coach is a tribal member that has drifted away from their traditional way of life. The elders challenge him to coach and in return they will allow him to build a casino on the land. The movie reflects back to the historic Native American lacrosse games, and is used to create a bond between the modern Native Americans to improve attitudes and a team that becomes champions. One of my favorite parts in the movie is when a girl that helps manage the team steps
