Desiree was warmly invited to each home and treated with respect. Men opened doors to their homes and tried to impress her. Zach even made a song for her and singed with his family at their Dallas, TX home. Sweetest moment was when he gives her the ring he bought in Atlantic city. Was he thinking that putting ring on her will win the young lady heart? According to UK relationship expert Dr. Pam Spurr; if the man gives you a nice piece of jewelry then he 's seriously committed to your relationship. Men just don 't give the good stuff unless you mean something special. Drew let Desiree to meet his sister Melissa who is mentally disabled and to whom he is very close. Drew tells Des that it is the first time his dad will be in his mom’s house….could that lead to some drama? Like many other men Drew was a man of few words and had a hard time to open up to Desiree. Expressing feelings can be difficult and each human being is communicating in their own way. Drew may not say a lot of feet swept words, but his eyes said it all, when he looked at her. Finally Drew opens up to Des and tell her that he loves her, automatically viewer is forgetting all the others and thinks that she will pick him for a husband. Next, Des heads to Oregon to meet Chris’ family and they visited the baseball field.
The two played some ball and had a nice romantic moment before heading to his family’s house for the big moment. Des had gets to sit outside with Chris overprotective mother. Although it was hard to read his mother she apparently really likes Des. Last stop on the hometown dates for Desiree is Utah to meet Brooks’ family. The two have a picnic and talked about their feelings for each other. Brooks is acting a bit distanced towards Desiree. It must be hard falling for a girl who is dating three other guys at the same time. In real life no man would want to share his girlfriend with others so she can choose who she really wants to be with. This type of relationship puts a big gap between couples, leading to breakups. Brooks and Des just look like a perfect couple! They seem to enjoy canoe ride. When Des and Brooks walk into his family home the big family is awaiting to see who Brooks is bringing home. Can she be a part of this family? Every family that Des met was trying to impress her, after all the future of their loved one is in her hands. Just like in real life people are striving to win hearts and to be picked over others.

will go home. The first rose goes to Brooks (the only one who hasn’t said that he loves her), then Chris and lastly Drew, sending Zak packing. Poor guy, he really thought he had a chance. Next episode cannot come fast enough; the audience is inpatient, between commercials it is showed a little teaser, Des is crying, seems like she is quitting the show? Viewer is anxious to find out what exactly will happen? The writers sure know how to keep the audience on their tippy toes. According to Chris Harison it was the most dramatic twist of all time on The Bachelorette. Desiree happy to see Brooks, it is their date and she has told numerous times that she can totally see Brooks as her future husband. He looks away and distanced toward her, then he tell her that he can’t see the future with her “I wanted to work, but the feelings are not there,” he says. Desiree look was priceless, she was upset and hurt, she was dumped by Brooks, the guy who she thought in her mind will be her future husband. What a shock everyone is experiencing. Des cried her eyes out and everyone thought this is the end. After all she did tell Brooks that she loves him. Taking a little step back, when Brooks braking up with Des, the image comes up like he loves her, but afraid that she won’t choose him and he is the one who does not want to have a broken heart. What will the Desiree do next? “I just want to go home” she cried.
Being the strong woman that Desiree is, she refuses to give up her dream and proceeds into rose ceremony with a confection to Chris and Drew about what happened between her and Brooks. When a person in love gets hurt it take time to heal to sort out emotions and let the time heal the wounds of a broken heart. After all maybe Des was not so much in love and only illusion of a girlish crush was there towards Brooks. As she spends more time with two remaining men she grew in her feelings toward them and quickly forgets about the heart break. Final date with Drew was very emotional; he is such a nice honest man, full of hopes and ready to propose to Desiree. Unfortunately Des does not share the same feelings with the heavy heart she lets him go. Feeling of sadness of seeing a good person being rejected hurts to watch. “You don’t have to be sorry for not being in love with me,” Drew tells Des. “I just want to be happy” were his last words as he leaves the island. “Everyone wants happiness; nobody wants to suffer…” says Dalai Lama in one of his quotes. The big moment everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. Will Desiree journey to find love end with the proposal or will she is the one in The Bachelorette history to go home alone? Desiree in her tan beautiful dress waits for the Chris to arrive, her hair is blowing with the ocean breath and holds her final rose for the man she has been waiting for and new it all along that he is the one.
Stepping out of limo Chris feels nervous. Viewers’ feelings are accelerated and everyone is holding their breath. After emotional confession and tears on everyone’s eyes including the viewer Chris kneels on his one knee before the woman he loves and asking her hand in marriage “Desiree Hartsock, I want to be your first and I want to be your last, will you marry me?” She said “yes, million times.” This is such a satisfying moment for the viewer as it gives them hope in love and for those who are in love shakes up their butterflies. Desiree found what she was looking for, her true love and a proposal from the man she fell in love.
