Captain I also found interesting was when the uncle of Davie said “Why are you here” with gun pointing at Davie. Another part that was interesting was blowing up the ship instead of cashing the ship. For example, in the book Mr. Campbell tells Davie about the house of shaws and Davie’s uncle (Davie Dad’s brother). But the movie shows and tells us the father tells him about the house of shaws as well as his brother. Another example, is in the book when Alan kills the Red fox he never was caught. Alan was suppose to be hung for killing the Red Fox but instead James was hung not Alan. The final example, is when Davie and Alan crash the ship in the book. Instead they blow the ship up in the movie. One similarity, is when Ransom and Davie bring the uncle to Queensferry because the uncle is pretending that he is dying because he needs his heart medicine. Another similarity is when Davies uncle betrays him. The uncle also leaves Davie on the ship. The final similarity is when Davie sees the Redcoats coming towards him.
