Movie Review: The Invention of Lying
1- Did you enjoy the film? What parts made a particular impression on you?

Yes, I enjoy the movie because it show how the world will be if everyone tells the truth. The particular parts that I liked most was when mark tried to tell his friends that he lied telling them obvious things that wasn’t truth but they believed him so he couldn’t told them what he has done.

2- What were the main features of a world whit out lies? Did you find the world convincing?

The main features were that everyone expresses what they think no matter what and I don’t find it convincing because in our actual world everyone lies few times per day.

3- How you characterize the kind of truth shown in this world?

Outrageous, because the way they talked was whit out kindness and they doesn’t care what the other person will feel.

5- Why do you think Mark decided to use his ability to lie to tell his mother that death was not an eternal nothingness?

He decided to do that because in the hospital he saw her really disappointed because she knew that she would go to die soon so to made her happy he told his
Mother that when you die you would have happiness forever.

6- What elements of Mark’s religion of the man in the sky do you recognize in our world?

He said that there is a man who controls everything, if you do bad things you
Will be sent to another place, everyone is going to be happy, he causes the good and
Bad things, and he will judge you when you die.

7- Imagine that you were a member of the crowd listening to Mark, but you knew he had the
