Mr. Duterte: The Qualities Of An Effective Leader
“A leader knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way”. This is the definition of being a good leader according to John Maxwell. For me, I'm sure that bold leader like him, was a kind of leader that our country must have. Because of what I’m seeing right now, the people is not afraid anymore to commit crimes, to commit corruption or theft, and I believe that there is someone who can only stop these. And there's only one kind of person that can halt these, and it is a leader who can make his people follow him and can make bold action against it. Among the presidential candidate, only Duterte had these traits and has the enough experience to govern our country well. Firstly, we are seeing Mr. Duterte

He elaborates on the fact that the best leader is not even known to exist. “When (the master’s) work is done, the people will say, “Amazing : we did it, all by ourselves””, according to Lao. He is trying to restate and exaggerate the, quite possibly most important, point in his writing. He states that “the master doesn't talk, he acts”, showing that he is not only a leader for the positive relationship he has with the people, but also for doing the things that need to be done. Despite this fact, this “best type” of leader doesn't take the credit for what could be argued is his success. He does this because of the trusting bond and positive relationship he holds with his people, allowing them the success, but also maintaining his role in leadership by not even hinting at the true depth of his rule. And it is because of this that I agree with Lao-tzu; anyone this selfless and pure of intent deserves to rule over a trustworthy people, just as much as the people of any place deserve a leader of this…

The qualities of a good leader are universally accepted. The leader has to have control over his followers. He has to demand respect. The leader also has to be able to persuade his followers to follow him without taking away from his beliefs and views. A good leader also has to be able to be strong, mentally more than physically. He needs to be able to stand his ground and strongly believe in what he feels is right. A good leader also has to believe in himself. If a leader does not believe in himself, then who will? A leader has to be assertive and does not need to back down from anything. The two main characters in this novel express some of these characteristics, one character more than the other.…

The most important quality of being a good leader is being able to make decisions that no one else could make. One trait of a complex society is social stratification, the specialization of jobs as more and more people are integrated into a certain society. With social stratification comes people of different skills. Certain people are farmers, others are merchants, and then there are rulers such as Sargon. As Crone states, “The more people differ from one another, the more they come to depend on formal rules for peaceful interaction”…

A good leader is, in my perception, a person who, like Jim Collins is shy and strong at the same time, which does live, as also Bernabè did, for the achievement of the company o the society he is operating for and not for the personal achievement. He is working for the general benefit, and not for the benefit of himself or just to achieve more money.…

Every leader should have a good foundation and a good outlook on what has to be done to be successful. Leaders have to be honest and cannot be bias because a good leader always tells the truth and does what he or she thinks would be the honest decision. They cannot be bias because they have to be able to make decisions without favouring one side of the story and ultimately prosecuting the wrong person or side. A successful leader has to be determined, they have to set out to accomplish a goal and not give up no matter what obstacles may be waiting. Loyalty is another key point to being a superior leader; a leader has to be loyal to his or her country. Beyond those a leader must be caring, motivational and supportive. They have to be self-controlled so that they can make their own decisions and not be influenced by others.…
