while, things seem to improve. Mr. Hyde still hasn’t shown up, and Dr. Jekyll seems much happier now. But then one of Mr.Utterson's friends latter dies. Before he dies, however, one of John’s friends gives him a letter. He says it should only be opened if Dr. Jekyll either disappears or dies. Then Dr.Jekyll becomes horrifically ill and remains in isolation, despite the times when Mr.Utterson visits Jekyll's apartment. Then one evening One of Dr.Jekyll's butlers visits Mr.Utterson at his house.
Once inside, they found Mr. Hyde in Dr. Jekyll's clothes and laying dead on the floor. It seems to be that Hyde committed suicide and The butler doesn’t know why. Next to his body was a letter. After John goes home from Mr.Hyde's house, John reads the letter that he found next to Hyde. The letter describes how Mr.Hyde and Dr.jekyll are the same person and that they transformed back and forth between each other. There was another letter that was explaining the transformation between Mr.Hyde and Dr.jekyll. Dr.Jekyll wanted to separate his good side from his bad side. He said that he thought he could have controlled it with more potions but sooner than later the potions went out of control and then he would start transforming even without the help of the potions. After this started happening Dr.Jekyll was trying many things to stop the transformations from happening, but nothing was working. He started to think that he would soon turn into Hyde forever. He was unwilling to suffer the consequences from the actions of the evil version of himself (Hyde). So that is what lead him to killing himself/ Committing
suicide.
