Preface
This report is presented in partial fulfillment of the Bachelor of Business Studies Degree Honors Degree in Finance & Banking programme requirements offered at the University of Zimbabwe (UZ). The purpose of industrial attachment is to give a practical experience to the students. It exposes the students to the kind of environment that they will operate in when they eventually seek permanent employment on the job market. It also seeks to enable the students to grasp and appreciate more the relevant theories and principles learnt during their first two years at college on a practical level, thus this report will embrace the two aspects.
Scope and limitations of the report
• Scope
This report covers and seeks to provide an in-depth study of banking operations, procedures and the administrative mechanisms of POSB Zimbabwe in general and POSB Mutare in particular.
• Limitations
The information gathered is for 12 months only. Since time was limited the writer could not give comparative information to other years. Also due to confidentiality, some information could not be included in this report.
