When Mr. Keller is looking for a faithful sheepdog, he stumbles upon Lassie (which he later changes to Lass). When he first see Lass, she is with an owner that does not know how to handle her. Then Mr. Keller thinks he can change her, because she is seems like a dog who needs another chance. Lass did not seem to trust Mr. Keller at first until she saw that he truly did care for her. Keller learned a lot about patience with Lass, and see how she changed from a crazy dog to a loyal calm dog, she had her moments but through it all Mr. Keller had faith in her and changed her for the best. In many ways Mr. Keller had a better relationship with God through Lass and saw a glimpse of how our relationship to God is. God has a lot of patience with us, He knows that we are not going to change with a snap of a finger, it takes us time to learn new tricks like Lass, and we know we have to be patient with God. When we pray and ask Him for things, we expect Him to do it right away. But that is never the case. We need to trust in God and have believe in ourselves us, like He does.
In conclusion, Lass went from bad behaved dog, to a great behaved dog, and Mr. Keller learned it wasn’t so easy to trainer her, but God gave him patients to do it. He put her in his life to benefit her and vice versa. Lass became everything Mr. Keller knew she could be a faithful sheepdog. Mr. Keller grew closer to God because of Lass, and he understood what it is like between God and us. God only wants what is best for us. He wants us to trust Him and have faith in Him. He wants us to become like Him because that is the best version of ourselves. He loves us, and wants all of us to be faithful
