Question: Is religion a part of culture or culture a part of religion
Answer:
Culture:
Culture is basically defined as the system of shared beliefs, values, customs, norms and artifacts that the members of a society use to cope with their world and with one another and that are transmitted from generation to generation.
Religion:
Religion is basically defined as a system of beliefs based on humanities attempt to explain the universe and natural phenomena. Religion is the collection of belief systems. Cultural systems and world views that relate humanity to spirituality, and sometimes to moral values.
Explanation:
I believe that religion is a part of culture
As many people believe that sometimes culture give bad effects on people. And believer would say, No matter what, religion always gives a positive impact on its followers. I believe that religion is a part of culture: * Religion is very important in our society because even though everyone believes something different, it still keeps in order. In our religion Islam it is a sin to murder, cheat, steal all of that, so majority of society is scared to act upon certain crimes in fear of the hell. * Religion is important because it provides a formalized structure for culture to be maintained. * Culture may be thought of as a casual agent that affects the evolutionary process by uniquely human means, but on the other hand religion is considered as a process of revelation and contains the concept of the “faithful” who receive the message of revelation. * Religion often plays a very large part in culture, because religion has made life meaningful for people around the world. * I believe that religion is a vital part of culture because it unites the individuals of a culture together and gives meaning to existence. * For most cultures, religion was originally brought about as a way to explain different phenomena that they didn’t have the ability to understand, such as the origin of earth. * Religion has since transformed to be a way for people to share in community with each other and express what they believe about their interpretations of a higher being. * It depends a lot on your culture. For example if you somewhere where everyone has different beliefs, and your interactions are based on other things then there is a minimum of “religious identity” built into your cultural one. * Religion is important because it provides a formalized structure of culture to be maintained. It may be more appropriate to suggest that culture or traditions impacted on the formation of religion. * Religion is actually the end product, it is actually the laws or rules that governed the behaviors of all members of society.
