Identify how the opportunity was identified and explain why this solution was feasible. - The opportunity using analytical framework was identified because traditional policing practices were powerless to thwart a rising crime rate. This framework will be the basis for a pilot program. Thus it is feasible because this program will help identity which analytical and operational approach might work or not.

- The limitations of the predictive analytics solution that was provided in the case was when Mr. Godwin realized that over the long term, that the of success of the program; predictive analytics would not only require the situation but also the adaptation of the department’s operational processes to take full advantage of them and also he further realized that moving from a pilot project to a systemic change in practices would require broad buy-in, especially from patrol officers out on the street.
