Sometimes may be the reward is late but you will definitely experience the good fruit”, these are a few thoughts I have heard from her in my growing years when I would approach her at times of stress or when I found myself agitated. I very distinctly remember her telling me, before I was leaving for an examination in school, to remember that cheating in an exam never helps you as it is morally wrong and even if you feel you are cheating for a menial 2 marks you will never know how you will end up losing more marks as an action of your wrong doing. These words since then have strongly influenced my perception about how important it is to be ethical in every situation of life. Offering worship to the Lord with all rituals is a part of her daily routine without which she feels incomplete throughout the day. Reading religious scriptures every day and firmly believing in them as well as citing good examples to everyone from the readings at times of their need and despair and applying them herself to situations is one of her common approaches towards dealing with incidents in life. A common observation by the family members, her colleagues and supervisors is her punctuality, dedication, seriousness and systematic approach towards her work. She always believed that honesty and sincerity towards work is the best way one can be grateful towards the good fortune God has bestowed upon a person being able to earn a living through the job he or she has in hand. Few of her students and other subordinates appreciated the fact that she worshipped the pictures of God before beginning her work at the desk and gradually the students also liked getting involved in this process before beginning the lessons for the day. This created an aura of positivity and goodness. Her connection of worship to God with work and dedication towards work and influencing people around her with the same brings about her Dharmic Leadership style. This fact again draws a similarity with respect to Gandhi and his notion of dignity of work and respecting each work, when my observation takes me
