Mrs Sacks Impact On Me
The leader in my life is Mazal Sacks. She is a senior Hebrew teacher who teaches simply because she loves to teach. Mrs Sacks is a proud, passionate, honest and extremely empathetic person. She is highly respected by every single person that she encounters and this respect has been very well earned. She is the deputy principal of the biggest and in my opinion- most successful Jewish day school in the world.
The impact that Mrs Sacks has on me now is one of great significance.
When I think about the people who have made the most positive impact on my life, it is mainly teachers, much like Mrs Sacks, that come to mind. This impact will only be played forward- impacting many people to come because it inspires all of her students to aim to one

When their students fail, great teachers don’t blame the student, but rather reflect on themselves. I believe that this is the source of Morah Sack’s leadership.
The respect that people have her for her empowers her. This is a sense of total respect that she too gives to other people.
Her un-quavering belief that a student is more than his/her mark inspires her students to perform beyond their maximum potential. She gives of herself to every aspect of the school, especially the success and the wellbeing of her students. This inspires me because I can see that being a teacher means so much more to her than just educating someone with the set syllabus. It is not a job; it is a calling.

One of the most influential experiences I have gone through is called the Lebanon High School Marching Band. I am certain that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for marching band. Before coming to high school I already had leadership qualities, but band helped bring all those great qualities together and helped me get past my two major flaws: my lack of self-confidence and the fact that I was probably one of the shyest people you would EVER meet. Leadership has been present in my life in many different ways, through sports, academics and even through friendships. When I was younger I didn’t know what it meant to be a leader, I always though the “leader” was just the most popular or most liked person within a group, whether it be a sports team or group or friends. As I grew older, I realized that was not the case, leadership comes in many different forms and has many different aspects. I have been a cheerleader since I was about 5 years old, I have competed at different cheer gyms and on different teams but have never let go of the sport. When I was young I would always look up to the older girls, I never thought that one day I would actually be one of them.…
