Mrs. Weaver: Poem Analysis
Strategy 1: Mrs. Weaver, lectures her students about understanding and interpreting poems the correct away to find the true meaning of poems. Mrs. Weaver, allows students to know they are learning strategies to assist a student to understand and appreciate poems and encourage the student to read poetry more effectively. To expand students thinking further Mrs. Weaver discuss the meaning of the poem by asking students questions. She asked a few volunteers to read a few sentences aloud. My beliefs are that ELLs will be adapted to better meet the learning needs of this lesson plan if they are allowed to first read the material in L1 their native language and L2 English language before teaching the text to the whole class. Students are asking to identify the metaphors in the poem and discuss with your group members.

Strategy 2: Mrs. Weaver, discuss the following strategies students should read and take notes first she encourages students to continue to find meaning and understanding of the words in the poem as they read and take notes. Students are reading and writing answering question about the poem to interprets the true meaning of the poem. Student are working in small groups to discuss their thoughts. Weaver ask students to her students to study the poem for homework and read it loudly, to clearly comprehend the flow and words of the poem. Continue to read and take notes, critical thinking about the author's meaning concerning the poem. My opinion is that this is a middle school strategy that to enhance and motivates students critical thinking skills. Also, I believe that poems will allow ELLs students connect old knowledge with new knowledge. The purpose of this assignment is to stimulate students thinking abilities to expand their views about the poem.
