MSW intern met with the ct for the purpose of identifying barriers to ct’s ability to maintain concentration and organization in the school setting. MSW intern reviewed with ct the benefit of continued individual therapy sessions. MSW intern reviewed with ct adaptive and maladaptive coping strategies. MSW intern assisted the ct in problem solving to improve organization upon commencement of new semester at school. MSW intern engaged ct in discussion on the benefits of implementing learned coping strategies in his academic life to improve sxs. MSW intern praised ct for his participation and plan to improve organization (designate separate folders for each school subject, ask clarifying questions during class). MSW intern assisted ct in generalizing coping strategies to social settings with peers and family. MSW intern assisted ct in reflecting on good choices (expressing concerns with peers/family, avoiding negative influences, and abiding by curfew) ct has made and how decision making has improved ct’s level of functioning. …show more content…
