The ladder scene shocks me too, I don’t know how the actor slide down from that high place, it must be hurt; and when there’s truly water pour down from upstairs, so many interesting scene happens on that ladder. The changing of the scene works really good too. Instead of completely dark in most of the play, when there’s light and music at the back, the changing of the scene works wonderful and interesting, and abortive. From the curtain to the fake flowers and grass, every place is unique and important, affecting the whole play in a really cheerful way. The changing of the fence upstairs, the “repair” of the wall, from dark old age to the new, colorful sets, we can get the background difference only by these props.
Although I can’t understand some of the detail because of Shakespeare, it’s still an interesting play to watch. It brings me really good time especially the second part of the play. Words are not the only important part of the play, but the scene and the feeling, the atmospheres made people love this special kind of performance
