The mental illness I chose is Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) also known as Multiple Personality Disorder (MPD). Two or more personalities/ identities non-simultaneously. With DID individuals may not remember events under the character they are operating from at the time of the incident while under the control of the other identity. Characteristics of DID or MPD includes altering ego's which are usually followed by separate demographics to identify who they are, for example, distinct identities, self-image, names, or ages. Each personality is independent, and non-reliant on the other figure.
