Upon many great musicians there are more that have fame just because of publicity. [Publicity is a deliberate attempt to manage the public’s perception of the musician (“Publicity,” 2012, “Definition”). Usually in publicity they look at people such as politicians and performing artists, goods and services, organizations of all kinds, and works of art or entertainment. Publicity draws on to several key themes including birth, love, and death, this is important to them because it focuses on heavy times in important people’s lives. As were moving from the pop culture and moving into the hip-hop cultural music. The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip-hop group (“Black Eyed Peas,” 2012, “The Black Eyed Peas”). Their first major hit was the 2003 single “Where is the Love?” from Elephunk, which topped 13 international charts.
