Both Fascist regimes had something in common and that is their use of authoritarianism, which is a system of government that the government used to try and control as many aspects of the people’s lives as possible through use of propaganda to indoctrinate a sense of obedience to the authority of the government. Authoritarianism is a key part of the fascism that took place in Germany and Italy for in Italy, Mussolini made it so Catholicism was a part of the education and daily life of the Italian people. He also like Hitler as well, made young boys and girls go to government run groups where they were taught to more militaristic and nation oriented. Even in Germany Nazi affiliates were helping get the Jews to safety, like Oskar Schindler, a Nazi businessman, who protected his Jewish workers from deportation to death or slave labor camps. Even some Jews rallied against the Nazi’s genocide with Mordecai Anielewicz, who led the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, one of the many ghetto insurrections that happened in Germany to stop the Nazi’s plans.
